Jamie spent her childhood in Boston, London, and New York before studying Art History and Italian at Trinity College. In 1996, she came to Italy on a study abroad program—a transformative experience that led her to move back permanently after graduation. In the late '90s, she traveled throughout Italy and France working as a guide and personal shopper for Japanese tourists. This exposure to international clients and luxury goods sparked her interest in the luxury resale market, and she launched an online business specializing in hard-to-find designer accessories. Her expertise in fashion has made her a recurring guest lecturer at the American University of Rome, where she speaks on topics related to luxury fashion. Once her children became teenagers, Jamie took on a new role as a tour manager and leader for a major Italian tour operator, all while continuing to run her resale business. She loved connecting with travelers and sharing her passion for Italy, which inspired her to take the next step: founding a travel service tailored to discerning tourists seeking authentic, immersive experiences. With her deep appreciation for Italian culture and art, and a strong background in luxury retail and customer service, Jamie created The Italian Edit to offer meaningful and memorable journeys. Her unique blend of expertise and enthusiasm is at the heart of what makes the company truly exceptional.
